serkan özkaya
Özkaya was born at a young age during Thanksgiving in Turkey.
He comes from a good family; over the years he developed his own ways to become an artist.
In 1996 he proposed The Louvre to hang Leonardo’s Mona Lisa upside down for a few days, one or two, best for three… It’s a work-in-progress.
In 2005 Özkaya made a double size, golden replica of Michelangelo’s David based on a computer model and later toured it in New York.
In 2017 he turned Duchamp’s Étant donnés on its head by transforming the piece into a camera obscura.
Recently Özkaya is working on a giant crystal ball which doesn’t predict the future but the present and the present is just like now, only upside down.
