Amalgam Series
The vital hybrid of sensual, biomorphic shapes, a curious blend of synthetic and organic matter, merges virtual and physical notions. Inspired by deconstructed natural processes and speculative life-forms, born from the fusion of technology, rare minerals, and flesh. Amalgam is a selection of ‘hand-sculpted virtual forms, immaterial-material objects of desire, designed and sculpted in VR. Artists are using virtual reality sculpting tools to reappropriate their experience with physical sculpture. Virtual Reality Sculpting allows them to integrate their traditional fine art approach and translate physically charged expression into the immersive gesture that forms the digital object. Every Amalgam NFT includes a 3D model of the sculpture, still image, and an augmented reality experience.
