Athenaeum.blue is an interactive film and immersive gaming odyssey, directed and developed by Pussykrew, written in collaboration with AI. The first chapter ‘Serpent of Self’ premiered online in spring 2021, it features a number of digital deities, channeling AI-generated essays. Each chapter explores themes of hybrid bodies, materiality, past & the future memories, chimerical architecture, non-binary dreams, primal forces of nature and ritual – as a form of healing and reclaiming the energy. Pussykrew creates new womxn-centered mythologies driven by cross-cultural folklore and speculative fiction. They are trying to find new ways of seeing human/non-human experiences and open up new possibilities for alternative narratives.

The Athenaeum.blue piece is a form of a multilayered gaming experience, with cinematic elements of interactive film, artists are using a blend of real-time game engine and AI-generated poetry. Participants are able to traverse through virtual environments and choose their own path, to navigate the story.
