The painting shows a group of American soldiers in Afghanistan while something is happening outside of the space depicted in the image, the soldiers are reacting to it. In the painting is depicted no other elements beside the soldiers and the tank, the landscape is completely empty and devoid of information in order to reflect the complete disconnection between the American army and the context into which they operate. This painting has been shown at Flash Art 1st Biennale in Prague in 2003, Arnhem Museum in 2011, Domus Artium Salamanca in 2012, and it’s also published in Suzanne Hudson’s “Painting Now”-Thames and Hudson London-New York 2016
