Mishima died doing Seppuku and one of his friends, following the japanese ritual, beheaded the poet.
In this work the head is seen as floating in air while the blood spurs incessantley from his neck.
This video is part of a large cycle of works i’m intending to work on for the next few years as companion of the one I’m completing about the figure of the Italian Poet Pier Paolo Pasolini which shared many things in common with Mishima.
