The static version of this one was simple enough, the third state of the animation (i.e. monkey with
a flame)– Darwin via Kubrick meets Prometheus, a marker for the ongoing evolution and necessity
for evolution of the Enlightenment, which is a) ongoing and b) way less evenly distributed than the
future. This animated version cross-references that idea with the differences between modes of
progress absolutely dependent on each other for their respective integrities (see Cut Paste). Note
that this is a three-frame animation two minutes long. It requires a concentration span, or a string
of coincidences, that can’t be taken for granted.
